Photographic evidence of the hitchedness - posted at 03:05
Now that the thank-you notes are in the mail, I can officially do photo- and web-related stuff without my conscience screaming at me.
The entire wedding went by entirely too quickly -- it was so much fun and there was so much happening that sometimes I just felt like I was along for the ride, instead of one of the principal participants. Not that I'm complaining -- our guests were amazing and helped make it a fun, blissfully memorable experience.
We're still waiting on the photos from our photographer, so in the meantime here are a few photos taken by whatever guest had possession of my Dad's camera at the time. They're linked to larger versions, so just click on them to see them!
One part I remember going by way too fast was the cutting of the cake. One moment I'm dancing out on the floor, next moment I'm being pulled aside and being give instructions on how to cut the cake, them we're cutting it and feeding it to each other and next thing I know I've got a flute in my hand (of the champagne variety, not the jazz-with-flames-coming-out-the-end variety) and we're drinking from them. It just felt like such a blur - we were having so much fun - that I'm glad that people got photos so we can re-live it!
My cousin has an amazing voice. I was a bridesmaid in her wedding, so I really wanted her to be involved in my wedding, so since the wedding party was so small (just Sandra as maid of honor and Ashley as best man) I thought that having her sing would be a perfect thing to ask her to do. My Mom pulled a fast one and told me that she wasn't going to be able to do it, so you can imagine my surprise when I see her up at the front of the room with a mic in her hand! She decided to sing the same song she sang for her husband at her wedding, and I think it hearing it again meant just as much to Brady as it did to me.
Since the ceremony was in the evening, we had to take advantage of good light while we had it, which meant taking pictures beforehand. My brother was asking things like "aren't you guys not supposed to see each other yet or something?" but it all worked out well -- Richard arranged a private meeting for us to see each other for the first time in our finery. This picture happened after that time, with my Dad actually photographing Richard snapping away.
There will be many more pictures from the weekend to come -- there are thousands of photos for me to look through right now!
Super congratulations! You look SO beautiful and happy!!!!! I wish I could have been there! (There are way too many exclamation points in this post already...) I miss you and wish you all the best in your awesome state of newlyweddedness!
On a totally unrelated note, did you not love 100 years of solitude? It's one of my favorite books ever.
congratulations to you and Cory on the wedding.
Coincidentally, did you know you're a Googlewhack?

Thanks for the congrats!
So does the googlewhack mean that I'm the only Jitterbean Girl out there? Wow, I finally feel special...
